From the Principal
Dear SPC Families,
What an exciting week of school spirit, celebration, and community at SPC! As we celebrate Homecoming Week, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in planning, organizing, and bringing this year’s festivities to life! Your time, energy, creativity, and dedication make these wonderful traditions possible for our students and families.
We look forward to continuing the celebration at our Homecoming football games this Saturday, October 17, at Notre Dame High School, from 3:30–6:30 p.m. All SPC families are welcome to join us as we cheer on our Tigers and celebrate our school community!
More Great News for SPC! We are excited to share that Saint Paul of the Cross Middle School has been named “Best of 2026” in Park Ridge by Business Rate! This wonderful recognition is another reason to celebrate the outstanding students, dedicated teachers and staff, and supportive families who make SPC such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our school’s continued commitment to academic excellence, Catholic values, and creating a welcoming community where every student belongs. Congratulations to our entire SPC family on this exciting recognition!
Tomorrow, October 16, we will gather our K–8 students for our first pep assembly of the school year! During this special celebration, we will recognize our fall athletic teams and honor students from each grade level who have been selected by their teachers to receive our Belonging Award. These students exemplify what it means to make others feel welcomed, valued, included, and connected to our SPC family.
And, of course, we will conclude our celebration with a little extra excitement! As promised during our Fun Run fundraiser, I will fulfill my fundraising challenge by receiving NINE pies in the face! I am sure our students will enjoy every minute of this memorable moment! What a fun way to celebrate their enthusiasm, generosity, and incredible school spirit!
An Opportunity to Make a Difference: We are seeking a few adult volunteers to help facilitate our SPC Young Men’s Club for boys in grades 4–8, which will meet once per month. This is a wonderful opportunity to mentor our young men, build meaningful relationships, and support their growth in faith, character, leadership, and service. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact me directly at [email protected].
As we continue through this beautiful fall season, thank you for your ongoing partnership, generosity, and commitment to our Catholic school community. Together, we continue to build a school where faith is lived, friendships are strengthened, and every child experiences a true sense of belonging.
