SPC Roundball Tournament
The SPC Roundball Tournament is open to all students of good academic and behavioral standing in sixth through eighth grades. A school tradition since 2013, the ongoing success of the Roundball Tournament requires the combined efforts of the school, the Alumni Association, the Roundball committee, and the St. Paul of the Cross Men’s Club.
The SPC Roundball Tournament consists of two separate basketball tournaments for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls. Our high school-aged SPC alumni return to their alma mater to coach the teams. More than 70 alumni participate each year and have just as much fun and friendly competition as the SPC students! Members of the SPC Men’s Club serve as announcers, and professional referees officiate. Awards are given for the champions, school spirit, and leadership.
It’s time for St. Paul’s Annual Roundball Basketball Tournament for all SPC 6th, 7th and 8th grade students (not just basketball players!) Practices will be held on SATURDAY, JANUARY 15th. Tournament games (a boy’s tourney and a girl’s tourney) will be held SUNDAY, JANUARY 16TH THROUGH JANUARY 24TH. Each team will be coached by SPC alumni who are currently enrolled in high school. All coaches will be expected to dress in professional attire for the games. All games will be officiated by professional referees. Members of St. Paul Men’s Club will announce the game play-by-play on the PA.
