May 6, 2021

Dear Families,

We are in the home stretch! With five weeks left of school, I am asking everyone to review the basic COVID-19 guidelines. St. Paul of the Cross has done an AMAZING job this year of prioritizing in-person learning, and I pray we can all finish strong until June 11th!

There is a rise in COVID in children. While I completely understand that the symptoms and long-term effects do not compare with some adult situations, we will continue to follow all precautions so that our loved ones remain safe. I know many of us are vaccinated and that it is tempting to loosen some basic precautions. However, our children are not vaccinated yet, and therefore we need to remain vigilant in following precautions.  News Article: Children Now Account for 22% of new Covid Cases

Thank you again for your vigilance! We can do this!

BASIC RULES COVID GUIDELINE REMINDER:

  • If someone is sick --keep everyone home until the sick person is cleared.
  • If a sibling is sick---all children stay home until the sick child is cleared.
  • If a person is going for a COVID test--EVERYONE stays home until the results come back. Do not drop kids off at school, and then go get the COVID test!
  • All positive cases must be reported to the main office, and the COVID form must be completed.
  • When in doubt--call the main office! We have all gotten VERY good at answering COVID-related questions.
