Dear SPC Families,

goal thermometer 113000

Once again, thank you to everyone who participated in our Celebrating the Spirit 2021 Parent Appeal this month. We received more pledges this week, and I am thrilled to report that together, you raised $113,000 for SPC! Please click here for the donor report updated 2-26-21.

Your generosity enables us to pay off the remainder of the Parish loan for the redesigned lower-level Library, STEM Lab, and Faculty Room completed last summer.

Yard Signs Are Here! - Available Outside at Pick-up Tomorrow (FRIDAY)

Yardsign Teacher App.v 4.1
We are excited to pass out new yard signs to you tomorrow (Friday) at pickup. We will have the signs outside of the EGC and the UGC buildings before/during the afternoon pickup. Once again, a very big thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Gleason for their thoughtful donations of these wonderful SPC yard signs. We were able to pop them into the ground, believe it or not, despite the snow still on the ground.

LENTEN ALMSGIVING- We are building another church!

For the past four years, St. Paul of the Cross Parish has partnered with Catholic Extension for a Lenten almsgiving project. This year we will continue to help build a chapel for our brothers and sisters in the North Shore Community in the Diocese of San Bernardino, CA. Your efforts will assist and sustain this parish so that they can continue their spiritual works of mercy and serve this growing community.

It is important to understand that we are asking our students to give of their time and talent to help contribute. This is not a time to have Mom or Dad go to their wallet and give money. We want our kids to understand that almsgiving comes from their own time, talent and treasure. Perhaps your child helps with chores around the house, and that money earned is donated, or maybe they choose to donate a portion of their weekly allowance to help build the church. However small the gift, these almsgiving donations must come from the children. Please help your child brainstorm ways they can help build a church in the Diocese of San Bernardino! Your child may bring in the donation to the main office.

Climate, Culture, and Catholic Identity (3C) Survey

As you may recall, we are pleased to again implement a system-wide stakeholder survey in all archdiocesan Catholic schools this year. This survey called the Climate, Culture, and Catholic Identity encompasses major aspects of instruction, student and adult culture, and Catholic mission and culture. It has been constructed in partnership with the University of Chicago, incorporating the research-based and prolific 5Essentials survey.
