September 17, 2020

Dear SPC Families,

As of today, students in grades 3-8 should be fully situated in their Schoology accounts, and parents in preschool-2 should have received their SeeSaw accounts. Please contact your child’s teacher if you need assistance.

Next Friday, please remember that school is closed for a Professional Development Day. Teachers in Early Childhood will receive training on the Learning without Tears Curriculum. Teachers in Grades K-4 will be completing a workshop with our Guided Reading curriculum while teachers will begin work on the SEL curriculum Conscience Discipline.

We are working to complete standardized testing in iReady for K-2 and Map for 3-8. Parents will receive guidance on the results during the October Parent-Teacher conferences.

Lastly, It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Frank Dopek, a long time member of our maintenance staff, passed away last night. Mr. Frank has been a consistent presence in our school for many years. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Peace,
Dr. Erika Mickelburgh
Principal
