April 24-28, 2022 is the Week of the Young Child!
Preschool – Grade 3
A fun-filled week celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, families, and communities. Throughout the week, several activities are planned that support and encourage
inquisitiveness and learning in the early years (Preschool-Grade 3). Students are encouraged to dress out of uniform each day with our theme but can also wear their uniform.
Please click here to see how we will celebrate your child each day!
VIP DAY! (Very Important Person Day) May 11th, 2023

We look forward to hosting VIP Day on May 11th! Students in grades Grades Preschool- 3rd may choose any special person to come and share an activity together. Please note the following:
- Each student will be able to bring 1 VIP to school.
- VIPs will report to the classrooms during the assigned time for refreshments and activities; the activities only last 45 minutes.
- It will be a full school day, and students will return to class after the VIP activities.
- Unfortunately, the 2nd floor of the EGC is not handicap accessible, impacting Grades Kdg - 2nd.

Uniform Reminder – Is it Time to Wear Shorts?
Students may wear uniform shorts from April 15th through the end of the year!
Letter from Park Ridge Police Department
Please click here for recent communication from PRPD. I know "Uptown" is quite a hot hangout area and a rite of passage as kids get older. However, it is unfortunate that some instances have given school-aged kids a bad reputation in Uptown. Please remind your children to be respectful when they are in Uptown with their friends….you can tell them that they will never know when they will run into Dr. M at Starbucks! I am confident that our SPC students are well-behaved when they are "hanging out," but a gentle reminder never hurts!
Much More Information Below! Please Read Through the Mailing.
Peace,
Dr. Erika Mickelburgh
