Dear SPC Families,
Please hold our 8th-grade Confirmands in your prayer this weekend as they celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation! We are excited to welcome Bishop Bartosic to St. Paul of the Cross to celebrate this joyful occasion. The 8th graders have studied and served for the past two years in preparation for the Sacrament!
Next week we will begin our Lenten Journey! Please have your children bring their palms so we can burn them in our Palm Burning Prayer Service. Students in K-8 will attend Mass on Ash Wednesday. Father James and I will distribute Ashes to our preschool children on Wednesday. We have a wonderful Almsgiving project with Catholic Extension this year! Our students will raise funds to purchase food to help the men and women religious in Cuba! We will send more information next week on this project.
SPC Annual Fund Parent Appeal - Off to a Great Start!

Our 3-week Parent Appeal kicked off this past Tuesday, February 14th, and it is off to a great start! Thank you to all who have turned in your pledge cards or donated online!
The Annual Fund directly impacts every facet of an SPC education, helping to bridge the “gap” between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student. Whatever matters most to you — from academics to athletics to arts, and from investing in our faculty to campus maintenance and security — is made possible, at least in part, by the Annual Fund.
Your oldest/only brought home your invitation and parent pledge card on Tuesday, so hopefully, you have checked those backpacks! Our goal is for every family to participate – 100% participation. Parent gifts add up to a large sum each year, and every gift makes a difference. You can send in the pledge cards with a check or with a pledge through your FACTS account, or donate your gift directly online. Thank you for your unwavering support of St. Paul of the Cross School! Professional Development Day for Teachers Tomorrow
Tomorrow our teachers will engage in a professional development day! Our early childhood teachers will visit other schools with a multiage program, and our elementary school teachers will collaborate on reading curriculum and instruction planning.
For our middle school teachers, we are hosting ten other Catholic schools for a nationally-recognized presenter, author, and humorist, JACK BERCKEMEYER!
We are looking forward to his motivating, practical ideas, and his message of hope, laughter, and insight into education. For more about Jack Berckemeyer, click here.
