Surviving School During COVID-19

DECISION TREE FOR SYMPTOMATIC STUDENTS/FACULTY/STAFF/VOLUNTEERS FAST FACTS • Deny entry/isolate and send home immediately if any of the following symptoms are present –
fever (100.4 or higher), headache, shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea abdomnal pain, congestion, new loss of taste/smell, nausea, fatigue or muscle/body ache • Deny entry/isolate and send home immediately student/faculty/staff/volunteer with close contact to a person who is symptomatic, awaiting test results or diagnosed with COVID-19. • Medical evaluation and COVID-19 diagnostic testing are strongly recommended for all persons with COVID-19 symptoms. Parents/guardians urged to report test results immediately to school principal.

• Archdiocesan Nurse – Principals or nurses only should contact the Archdiocesan Nurse for guidance on COVID-19 questions requiring an immediate decision disposition, e.g. symptomatic person is on-site. The Archdiocesan Nurse will not field calls from teachers, parents/guardians, etc.
