Meet Our PFA Team

Bravos

Mr. Alex Bravos ~ Music Teacher

Education
Bachelors of Music in Music Education at Millikin University with a certificate in Jazz Studies

Years Teaching
This is Mr. Bravos' second year teaching after graduating in May, 2019!

Interesting Facts
I am originally from St. Charles, IL and both of my parents are Greek! I have 3 older siblings, both of my brothers are also musicians. My oldest brother is an opera singer and the brother closer to me in age is a pop artist. My sister works for the American Marketing Association in Chicago.
I can play every instrument but my main instruments are voice, piano, and percussion!

The Spring Musical!

Mrs. Maria Mejicanos ~ Spanish Teacher

Education
I studied in Guatemala City all of my elementary, secondary, and college education. I earned a Teaching and a Law degree in Guatemala. I attended Triton College to learn more English Language. I earned a BA from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago

Years Teaching
I have been teaching Spanish for 24 years. I started at Oak Park School’s District 97, Triton College, Berwyn Cicero Council for the Aging, and St. Paul of the Cross School. This is my 14th year at SPC.

Interesting Facts
I love traveling, cooking, and listening to classical music. I enjoy dancing and exercising early in the morning.

Ms. Theresa Scordo ~ STEM

Education
Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education, Middle School Endorsements in Science and Social Studies at DePaul University, Chicago

Years Teaching
Since 2006 I have been teaching or assisting in various positions within Park Ridge School District 64 and Kenilworth School District 38. In 2018-2019 I started at St. Paul of the Cross and taught 4th-6th grade science. This year I am excited to be teaching STEM to 3rd-8th grade students.

Interesting Facts
I grew up in the Edison Park/Park Ridge area. I attended St. Juliana until we moved to Park Ridge where I attended Lincoln Middle School and Maine South. I have been teaching a Study Skills and Executive Functioning class in Park Ridge District 64 every summer for the past 13 years. I have two children who are ages 6 and 7 and I love going on adventures with them and exploring our great country.

Favorite School Activity
My favorite school activity is being able to interact with the students at all of the different sporting events and also help coach when needed.

Years Teaching
This is my second year teaching Art. My first year was in District 64 at Roosevelt, Field, and Washington.

Interesting Facts
I attended SPC and my kids go here; Violet is in third grade and Billy is in first. I have also painted several murals around the school and church.
