Home & School 2008 - 2009 Information & Volunteer Form

The St. Paul Home and School Association is the parent organization at St. Paul of the Cross School.

The general goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for service to the St. Paul of the Cross School community in keeping with the mission statement of the school. This Association seeks to cooperate with the Pastor, the administration, school board, and faculty in providing a Catholic education for the students. It operates within the framework of all policies and guidelines of the school and the Archdiocesan Office of Catholic Education. The specific functions of this organization are:

To promote more effective communication between the school and the home in order to provide continuity of the students' educaiton;
To sponsor well-lanned programs which will encourage the religious, moral, physical, mental, social, and educational growth of the students, the parents and the faculty;
To create a greater appreciation of Catholic education in its broadest sense;
To provide and coordinate lay assistance for the school'
To assist in fundraising for educational items not funded by the school budget.

Home & School members are represented by a five member Board. Board members serve a two-year term, not to exceed one term. We encourage all parents to attend Home 7 School meetings.

2007 - 2008 Meetings are as follows:

September 20 - 8:30 a.m. (Duffin Hall)
November 15 - 7:00 p.m. (Library/UGC)
January 17 - 8:30 a.m. (Duffin Hall)
March 13 - 7:00 p.m. (Library/UGC)
May 15 - 8:30 a.m. (Duffin Hall

May 22nd will be a special day at St. Paul of the Cross. A professional performing group, Cique Amongus, has been contracted to present a very unique full-participation day for students, faculty and parent volunteers. It will be a fun day for all! Many volunteers are needed for this special day.

The Home & School Association provided a wonderful assembly for the students of St. Paul of the Cross during Catholic Schools Week. One Drum is an eclectic world music ensemble which performs songs, stories & dances rooted in the cultures of Africa, the Caribbean, Australia, the Middle East & the Americas. The assembly with One Drum was a wonderful success!

Home & School Association presented the Fowler Family Radio Program to the students and parents of St. Paul of the Cross on the evening of October 11. The program was fun and educational. Click on the picture below to view more pictures from the performance.
