Father Masula came and showed pictures of his country.  He enlightened us about the continent of Africa.   His presentation was so interesting, because it provided us with a view that wasn’t tigers, lions and safaris.  Instead he spoke about the people, the history and their homeland.

 

Museum of Science and Industry

We could not ask for a better day to have our class trip to the Museum of Science and Industry.   The children visited the newly opened exhibit “Science Storms” where you could safely walk through a 40 foot tornado.  From the roar of the
tornado the children took a walk over to the quiet of chicks hatching.  Throughout the morning children stopped and watched presentations given by the Life Science Show that produced loud and colorful explosions.  Our day ended with tired, happy students boarding the buses for our return to St. Paul.
