Mrs. Abbate

In January, the First Graders listened to stories about the life of Martin Luther King.  They learned what “non-violent resistance” means.  In social studies, we talked about the famous “I have a dream” speech given by Dr. King.  The students wrote and illustrated what his/her dream is for the world.  Their work is hanging in the hall for all to read.

Students in Room 135 have been writing and illustrating stories about winter fun in the snow as well as stories about penguins.  They painted beautiful pictures of penguins in art class.  Many students chose winter as their favorite season when we made a graph of our favorite season in math class!
