During this month the students will be working on the following themes:
1st and 2nd grade: colors, shapes, spatial directions and weather.
In 3rd grade: shapes, description of how many sides and corners they have. They are also learning vocabulary about school, school supplies, and exploring how to use singular/plural nouns.
4th grade: is working with vocabulary related to animals, colors and will continue describing animals.
5th grade: the students are writing dialogues and creating masks to use during class when they can have a conversation in Spanish. It is fun because they give their mask a name; tell how they feel, and if they would like to go eat.
6th grade is working on “ar-er-ir” verbs and telling what they like/dislike.
7th grade is working on Hispanic Heritage month and famous Hispanic Americans.
8th grade is working on the verb “to be”. They will continue exploring the use of this verb by writing a short description of their families and one relative at the time example: Mi mamá es muy buena y bonita. “ES” is the verb to be.
